« Congratulations to Ferrari. Happy that they are back and I am happy for Carlos and Charles. It was a very difficult race and this is really the best result we could have achieved. It’s unfortunate for the two Red Bull drivers but we did our best and I am happy with that. » declared Sir Lewis.
The British champion then gave a message of encouragement to his clan in order to motivate them to reclaim their rightful place.
I hope we will improve, the team and I are working very hard. We know that we need to keep working, keep our heads down and do our best.
In the constructors’ standings, Mercedes sits in second place behind Ferrari thanks to Hamilton’s podium finish and George Russell’s fourth-place finish.
