Charles Leclerc arrives in Jeddah in a position that he is discovering: that of the leader of the world championship. Certainly, only one of the 23 races has been contested and the road to the world crown is long, but the Monegasque had a perfect weekend in Bahrain by achieving a hat-trick (pole, victory, and fastest lap). The Ferrari driver remains focused on his objective and knows that there is still a lot of work to be done for him and his team.

This season has already started last week and we will seize all the opportunities that arise, just like we did last week [in Bahrain],” declared Leclerc in a press conference. “It will be important to be present here [in Jeddah] and fight for the top positions, then we’ll see for the rest of the season. I believe that development will play a key role this season and we must be the best in this field.

The Monegasque is wary of the competition, especially that of Red Bull, whose last weekend turned into a nightmare with a double retirement towards the end of the race. « I don’t know if we are favorites or not. I think Red Bull will be extremely strong on this circuit,” predicted the Monegasque.
