Saudi Arabian Grand Prix – Summary of French speakers: Pierre Gasly

Despite an AlphaTauri lacking performance on this very fast and demanding Jeddah circuit, Pierre Gasly managed to open his points tally for 2022.
Despite a rough start where he conceded two positions, the rest of his race was solid.
With a few overtakes, but above all a fast and steady pace that allowed them to finish in 8th place overall.
These points, he owes them to his strategy, but also and above all to his tenacity. During the last fifteen laps, the French driver experienced a hellish ordeal due to strong stomach pains.
The safety car almost ruined everything
Like Sergio Perez, Pierre Gasly entered the pit just before Nicholas Latifi’s crash and the safety car came out on the track. At the worst moment, in fact. But no one could predict it at that moment.
For the second driver of the Red Bull team, this operation made him lose all hope of a podium. But for the French driver, it could have closed the door to scoring points.
