Ricciardo launches his wine decanter in tribute to his traditional “shoey”
Daniel Ricciardo has launched his new DR3 II wine collection. He also revealed a rather special wine decanter in the shape of the Australian driver's shoe, famous for doing a shoey on each of his podium finishes.

Daniel Ricciardo is known for his sense of humor, which he once again displayed when releasing his second collection of wines. The Australian revealed, in addition to the two bottles offered, a decanter shaped like his racing shoe. A nod to the iconic “shoey” he performs on each of his podiums.
The shoey is an Australian tradition that consists of drinking from a shoe. Ricciardo has made a habit of doing it on the podium by pouring champagne into his shoe. This tradition was first launched when he won the German Grand Prix in 2016. Many drivers and team managers have had the (mis)fortune of sharing a podium with the Australian and experiencing this strange tradition, such as Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, and Christian Horner.

The decanter is being sold in a limited edition of 1,100 copies. It is sent with a letter from Daniel Ricciardo and a certificate of authenticity. You will need to shell out the handsome sum of $700 to have the pleasure of doing a shoey at home.
