Lance Stroll and Nicholas Latifi expected at the stewards’ office
At the very end of the first qualifying session, Lance Stroll and Nicholas Latifi collided. They are expected to report to the stewards.

This was a rather surprising scene that we witnessed at the end of Q1. With just over two minutes remaining, Nicholas Latifi allowed Lance Stroll, who was faster than him, to overtake.
Except that the latter slows down, and the Williams driver overtakes the Canadian and is then squeezed to the right edge of the track. The two men collide and Latifi ends up in the wall, destroying his car, while the Aston Martin has broken its front right suspension.
Following this incident, the commissioners have decided to open an investigation. Both drivers will be summoned at 6:00 p.m. local time (10:00 a.m. Paris time) to explain this collision. Sanctions could be imposed.
