Ferrari without evolution at Imola
Mattia Binotto stated that the Scuderia will participate in the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix without any major upgrades, due to the sprint weekend format.

The sprint races are making their comeback. During the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, this weekend format introduced last year will make its first appearance in 2022.
During the weekends in question, there will only be two free practice sessions (including one before the qualifying session that determines the grid for the sprint qualifying). And this lack of time (1 hour less) will encourage Ferrari not to bring major improvements to its F1-75.
« I think it will be a complicated weekend in terms of making improvements and trying to evaluate them during Friday’s practice, because you obviously have to focus on the afternoon qualifying. As far as we’re concerned, there won’t be much in Imola because, once again, we don’t believe it’s the right place », Mattia Binotto told our colleagues at Motorsport.com.
But we will try to mitigate the problems that we still have so far. I’m referring to the dolphin effect and the rebounding that affected our performance this weekend [in Melbourne]. So, we will once again try to work on this specific point. However, for improvements, especially the more, let’s say, significant ones, that will be for later in the season.
For the fourth consecutive race weekend, Ferrari will not have brought any major updates to their car.
