Wolff confirms again that Grosjean’s test will indeed take place
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has once again stated that the promised test for Romain Grosjean will indeed take place.

Romain Grosjean’s Formula 1 career came to an abrupt end. During the Bahrain Grand Prix in November 2020, the French driver suffered a terrible accident in his Haas, putting an end to his career in the premier category of motorsport (he had not been retained by the American team at the end of the year).
The one who is racing in IndyCar today miraculously managed to free himself from his engulfed single-seater and only suffered burns on his hands as a result. Since then, Romain Grosjean has often hinted that he would like to finish his career in a different manner rather than be remembered for the Bahrain inferno.
After Mercedes responded to the call from the Frenchman, the boss of the German team, Toto Wolff, had promised to let Grosjean drive one of his silver arrows during a test. The driver, of course, accepted the offer, but scheduling issues between the two parties, notably during the French Grand Prix where the test was planned, have currently decided otherwise.
In Dutch press, Wolff confirmed that the test would indeed take place: “The test will definitely happen. When I give my word, I give my word.” So we just have to wait a little longer to finally see Grosjean back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car.
