The new contract of Sainz should be officially announced soon
At the end of his contract this season, Carlos Sainz is expected to unsurprisingly extend with Ferrari until 2024. The announcement could be made before the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

Carlos Sainz is expected to extend his adventure with Ferrari until 2024. This is according to As, the famous Spanish sports newspaper. The 27-year-old Spaniard and the Scuderia are said to have agreed on the terms of a two-season extension, as Sainz’s current contract expires at the end of the season.
The extension of Sainz’s contract with Ferrari would not be a surprise after a successful first season. In 2021, Sainz finished fifth in the drivers’ championship, behind the Red Bull and Mercedes duos, and stood on the podium four times. Sainz has started 2022 with the momentum from last season, securing two podium finishes in the first two races. Even though he seems to be slightly in the shadow of his teammate, the Madrid native continues to prove that he deserves his place at Scuderia Ferrari.
After the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Ferrari one-two, will there be a new contract for Sainz with Ferrari?
“> Sainz had clearly announced that negotiations were close to a conclusion, as confirmed by Mattia Binotto, the head of the Scuderia. According to As, the announcement could be made even before the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix this Sunday. Ferrari would then have its pair of drivers for two additional seasons, as Leclerc’s contract also expires in 2024.”
