Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix: Presentation and predictions from the editorial team
For the third consecutive year, the Imola circuit is back on the F1 calendar. A race that is generally prone to twists and turns. The editorial team presents the Grand Prix and makes a few predictions.

Back in 2020 after a 14-year absence, the Imola track often has very spectacular races in store for us.
With rain making an appearance last year, we remember the various incidents that marked the race. It was also the beginning of a fierce battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
You can also rediscover three notable races in Imola, which was then called the San Marino Grand Prix.
The design and range of tires
After a bold tire strategy in Australia, Melbourne is returning to a more classic approach for Imola.
The C2, C3, and C4 compounds are the combination provided by the Italian manufacturer.
C2 being the hardest and whitest eraser, C3 in yellow the intermediate eraser, and C4 the softest red compound.
This relatively hilly layout is quite demanding on tires. The three chicanes, and the almost hairpin turn “Tosa,” will generate strong braking and impressive acceleration.
As for the downhill combination of “Piratella” and “Acque Minerali”, as well as the two final left turns called “Rivazza”, they will require excellent lateral grip.
It’s race week! 🏁
One of two home races for Pirelli, Imola marks the first sprint session of the season, which includes slightly revised rules and more points on offer 📈https://t.co/SrlGnqkZLv#F1 #ImolaGP 🇮🇹 #Fit4F1 #Formula1 #Pirelli #Pirelli150 pic.twitter.com/zpwWT5Uup8

Our predictions
The return to a sprint race hardly affects the odds of the drivers. Ferrari is the team to beat at the beginning of the season. Reliable and fast, it allows its drivers to once again be the top favorites. Especially since for the return of F1 in Europe, the race takes place in Italy.
Charles Leclerc is the man in form. He arrives for this fourth round as a solid leader of the championship. It is therefore logical to find him at the top of the predictions, promising him both the pole position and the victory. Carlos Sainz is promised a strong second place. Has he already signed his role as a second fiddle for 2022?
As for the third place, overall the Red Bulls are leading in the votes, but Max Verstappen gains more unanimity.
But the rain could come and shake things up, and in that case, Perez, Alonso, and Gasly could very well challenge the favorites.
