Hamilton could invest in the Chelsea football club
Lewis Hamilton is linked to a project to buy Chelsea Football Club. The Mercedes driver is ready to invest £10 million there.

For several weeks, the English club Chelsea Football Club has been up for sale. Its former owner, Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich, who is close to the Kremlin, has been subject to sanctions in the UK since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Three takeover offers are still in the running to buy the club in southwest London. Among them, businessman Martin Broughton’s offer could attract interest from the world of F1. According to Sky Sports, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is ready to invest £10 million in this project. The Mercedes driver wants to play a role in Chelsea’s future plans to promote diversity and equality.
Other athletes are involved in this project. American tennis player Serena Williams would also be willing to invest the same amount as Hamilton in Broughton’s project. Furthermore, Sebastian Coe, a double Olympic champion in the 1500 meters who has transitioned into politics, is also involved.
This is not the first time that the club currently managed by Thomas Tuchel in the Premier League has made headlines in Formula 1. In the early 2010s, the logo of the Blues appeared on the Sauber team’s cars as part of a merchandising contract.
Finally, for the anecdote, Lewis Hamilton has always claimed to be a fan of Arsenal, the great London rival of Chelsea, since he was very young. Seeing him invest in the latter will undoubtedly provoke a strong reaction if the information were to be confirmed in the coming days.
