Hamilton and Russell have confidence in their team to make the car evolve
After a difficult start to the season for Mercedes, the planned developments for the upcoming races seem to satisfy the drivers of the German team.
Mercedes is currently the third strongest team on the grid. Always well positioned, the German team fully takes advantage of the opportunities that come its way and has already stepped on the podium twice in three races. The team of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell is constantly working to improve the car, which seems to delight both Brits.
« We are constantly evolving the car. We are all working very hard. Every time I get in the car, I hope it will go faster,” said the seven-time world champion to the press before the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Despite the difficulties encountered since the first race of the season, Hamilton remains as determined as ever: « I really appreciate being part of this team and looking for solutions to improve the car. There is always pressure regarding the results. And it’s this type of challenge that I love.”
His teammate George Russell also believes that things are heading in the right direction: “In terms of results, we have achieved the best possible results. We are constantly trying to bring new things. We will continue to seek to reduce the gap with the leaders and try to take advantage of the wet conditions expected this weekend,” stated the current second place in the world championship.
