What if the fourth round of the F1 season took place in wet conditions? That’s what the latest forecasts in the Emilia-Romagna region suggest.

After a first day, Friday, raced in precarious grip conditions, and as the sun shone on Imola on Saturday, the 20 drivers on the grid might very well have to start the Grand Prix on Sunday with wet weather tires.

In the case of a departure on a wet track that is drying out, the drivers are no longer required to use both types of mandatory dry track tires, namely a set of soft tires and a set of hard tires. Some may therefore be tempted to only change their tires once, transitioning from rain (or intermediate) tires to slick tires.
