Charles Leclerc lucky despite the poor result
Without a bit of luck for Charles Leclerc, the outcome of the weekend could have been completely empty for Ferrari.

Ferrari and Leclerc arrive at Imola as strong leaders of the championships.
However, despite a race taking place at home, the performance is not up to expectations.
At the end of the race, the red team opts for an aggressive strategy hoping to overtake Sergio Perez for second place. However, things don’t go as planned. On one hand, Lando Norris comes out ahead of Leclerc, forcing him to push his tires to regain his third position. On the other hand, the soft tires degrade too quickly, forcing the driver of car number 16 to push too hard.
He spins out after an overly optimistic attack on the first kerb of the Alta Variant. His single-seater takes off all four wheels and lands in the tire wall on the opposite side.
With a stroke of luck, the Monégasque managed to get away without any damage. Unfortunately, he has to return to the pit stop to change his tires, which were damaged due to a heavy flat spot.
Thanks to his determination and talent, he managed to pull off the feat of moving from 9th place to the final 6th place in just a few laps.
An excess of optimism that could have been potentially detrimental if he hadn’t been able to launch another attack on his competitors.
In any case, Ferrari must take this race as a first free warning. But Red Bull managed to regain confidence on Italian soil.
