Hamilton responds to Helmut Marko about a possible retirement
Following the criticism from the Red Bull sporting director, Lewis Hamilton took to his Instagram account to respond. The seven-time world champion brushes off the criticism.

The “war” between Red Bull and Lewis Hamilton continues. A few days ago, Red Bull’s sports director, Helmut Marko, was not kind to Lewis Hamilton. Given the difficulties encountered by the seven-time world champion this season, the Austrian leader simply stated that the Mercedes driver should have ended his F1 career last year.
Marko’s statements are a result of the fact that the performances of the W13 are much worse than expected, and the British driver is starting to suffer in comparison to his new teammate George Russell. During the last race in Imola, Hamilton notably got lapped by Max Verstappen’s Red Bull.
On his Instagram account, the Mercedes driver clearly expressed his intention not to stop. He posted a message affirming: “I am working on my masterpiece. I will be the one who decides when it is finished.”
