Sainz had neck pain during the race
Following his accident during Free Practice 2 on Friday, Carlos Sainz suffered from neck pain during the race.

Torn between joy and disappointment after crossing the finish line of the Miami Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz then revealed that he still had neck pain following his accident at turn 14 on Friday. The Spaniard was clearly suffering from a neck sprain and a bruised hip after the high-speed contact with the concrete wall.
Knowing a difficult start to the season with the Scuderia, this inaugural race in Miami remains more or less in the same theme for Sainz, even if the experienced emotions are different.
The Ferrari driver talked about his difficulties during the race. « I’ve been better before. Obviously, after the accident on Friday, I still had a slight neck pain when I arrived at the race, but I had to get through it and I fought. […] It wasn’t easy at all. It was a difficult race with the tires, with the heat. The car was moving and sliding a lot. »
The next Grand Prix will be synonymous with a home race for Carlos Sainz, as Formula 1 will be heading to Barcelona in two weeks.
