Horner thinks that the title can be decided until the end
After an early season that sees Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen going head to head, Christian Horner believes that the fight for the championship can go down to the last moment of the season.

For 4 years, we had almost lost the habit. Before the magnificent duel between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton last season, we had to go back to the fight between Nico Rosberg and (still) Lewis Hamilton in 2016 to see a championship being decided in the last Grand Prix of the season. And why not a similar scenario this year?
If Charles Leclerc had created a big gap with Max Verstappen in the early Grand Prix of the season, mainly thanks to the reliability issues encountered by the Dutchman, it now appears clear that the title will be fought between these two men at least. Their respective teammates seem a step below, but of course, they are still in the running. And what to think of Mercedes, who can potentially come back into the game at any time if the German team manages to better understand their car and find some performance.
Christian Horner believes on his side that the battle with Ferrari, and notably Charles Leclerc, could last the entire season. « There is a long, long way to go, and I think it’s so close with Ferrari, there have been great races. There is a great respect between Charles and Max. They love racing against each other, you can see it. I think I was hoping not to have another competitive year like last year, but it seems like this one could go all the way. »
Horner obviously does not expect an easy weekend in Barcelona. « It was tight, Barcelona is a brand new challenge, with high-speed corners, we know that Ferrari is strong in this area. This [Miami] circuit suited us, we were able to perform well and fortunately get a good result. »
