Even when he doesn’t race, Charles Leclerc has bad luck in Monaco!
On Sunday, May 15th, the Historic Grand Prix brought together the most iconic Formula 1 cars in history on the streets of the Principality.
It is as the leader of Ferrari and the 2022 championship that Charles Leclerc was invited to take a seat in Niki Lauda’s Ferrari 312 B3.
Alone on the track, the Monegasque raced down the streets. He was reaching full speed at the Rascasse and spun out, before hitting the wall!
The N°16, the championship leader, reported that the brakes failed before even using them. Perhaps he will have driven away the bad luck at home for his Grand Prix on May 29th.
Jody Scheckter, the 1979 world champion, consoled Leclerc. More fear than harm!
