The Russian Grand Prix will not be replaced this season
Despite rumors of replacement, the Russian Grand Prix will not be replaced in the calendar this season. The record of 23 Grand Prix in one year will not be achieved.

On February 25th, the Formula 1 decided to cancel the Russian Grand Prix, following the events in Ukraine. The question then arose as to which circuit would be able to take the place left vacant by the Sochi track.
But today, Formula 1 has officially announced that the Russian Grand Prix will not be replaced, despite rumors of a double header in Singapore or a possible second Grand Prix in the history of Formula 1 in Qatar.
The FIA and Formula 1 had suspended Russia’s contract until further notice.
Originally scheduled with 23 appointments, the calendar for this 2022 season will therefore remain at 22 Grand Prix.
