Massa: “Ricciardo needs to have fun”
Massa wished to speak out following the Monaco Grand Prix about Daniel Ricciardo's recent blunders after his extremely difficult start to the season.

Daniel Ricciardo is experiencing his worst start to a season since his arrival in Formula 1, with only 11 points in 7 Grand Prix races. Former winner and pole-sitter, the daily life of the Australian has sadly changed. His latest race ended outside of the points on his favorite track, while his teammate Lando Norris continues to deliver strong performances.
On this subject, former Ferrari driver Felipe Massa expressed himself: “Regarding Ricciardo, I believe we need to see him smile again. He needs to have fun, and I know what I’m talking about – I also had a tough period at Ferrari. Every time something goes wrong, you can’t concentrate properly, so you’re neither relaxed nor happy. George Russell said in Monaco: ‘I’m happy, I’m enjoying, things are easy,’ and that’s exactly what Ricciardo is missing at the moment.”
You must be happy, you must appreciate the relationship you have with your team. Perhaps Ricciardo just needs to find his smile again and enjoy the present moment.
The Australian driver is one of the most appreciated on the grid, and his smile continues to light up the Grand Prix races, but with a string of poor performances, it is difficult to be sure if Daniel Ricciardo’s future is in Formula 1.
