Fernando Alonso breaks a record held by Michael Schumacher
Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher are both legends of Formula 1. This weekend, Alonso will further etch himself into history.

Fernando Alonso is a Formula 1 monument, and even at the age of 40, he continues to prove that he is competitive in the sport. On the occasion of his 340th Grand Prix this weekend, the Spanish driver sets a new record, surpassing the one established by another sport legend: Michael Schumacher.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix occurs 21 years, three months, and eight days since Alonso’s debut at the 2001 Australian Grand Prix. He then surpasses the longevity record of the Red Baron.
Fernando Alonso also has another significant record to beat, that of the highest number of races contested, currently held by Kimi Räikkönen with his 350 races. The Spanish driver will surpass this impressive number during the Singapore Grand Prix on October 2nd.
