Norris, finally cured, believes that anything is possible in Baku

Lando Norris has struggled in the last two Grand Prixs. The young British driver arrived in Barcelona three weeks ago with tonsillitis, which prevented him from racing at 100% on Sunday. Despite this, he finished in the points, eighth. The same scenario occurred two weeks ago in Monaco, even though his condition had improved, he still wasn’t in top physical form. And just like in Barcelona, that didn’t stop him from scoring points with a sixth-place finish on Sunday.

For the Azerbaijan Grand Prix this weekend, Lando Norris stated that he was finally fully recovered and ready at 100% for the appointment in the streets of Baku. « I feel like myself again after the weekend break and I have fully recovered after two tough weeks. I am excited to see what I can do for the next double header, so let’s go. »

The Bristol native also said he was excited to come back and race in Baku, a new street circuit. Last year, he finished in fifth position on the streets of the Azerbaijani capital, after the completely crazy race scenario we all know. « I’m excited to arrive in Baku. It’s cool to be at another street circuit and last year’s race showed that anything can happen. »

Norris is looking forward to seeing how this track performs with the new cars, which includes a very narrow section. « It will be great to see what we can do in the new cars on this unique circuit. I finished in the points both times I raced on this track, so I hope to continue and score more points for the team this year. »

On a track that has often offered thrilling races, Lando Norris could have a chance to shine this weekend.
