Two DRS zones in Baku and a few changes
The FIA has shared the plan of the official 2022 race track, including the DRS zones, among other things, as well as a few changes.
Regarding the DRS activation and detection zones, they are identical to the previous year. There is a first detection line before corner 2 braking, for activation after exiting it. The second zone is located along the pit straight, with a detection zone after corner 20 exit.
Some minor changes.
The track has undergone some modifications, particularly around the pit lane. Firstly, a new TecPro installation has been put in place to enhance the safety at the pit entrance. Additionally, the wall separating the track from the pit lane at the exit has been extended by 8 meters. Lastly, two openings have been created to facilitate the intervention of officials, one between turn 1 and 2, and a second one for vehicles between turn 3 and 4.
