Max Verstappen sets a new record for precocity
By winning the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has broken a record previously held by Sebastian Vettel.

At 24 years and 255 days old, Max Verstappen becomes the youngest driver in history to win 25 Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix races. He surpasses Sebastian Vettel, who was 25 years and 103 days old when he won the Korean Grand Prix in 2012, his 25th victory.
This 25th victory for the Dutchman also means that he is now on par with Niki Lauda and Jim Clark, two Formula 1 legends. Max Verstappen is now 7 wins away from matching Fernando Alonso, surpassing Nigel Mansell, another world champion, along the way.
His podium in Baku also allows him to surpass the record for Red Bull podiums, previously held, once again, by Sebastian Vettel. His 66th podium in Formula 1 puts him within one of the number of podiums of Valtteri Bottas.
