“No team would be satisfied with Schumacher’s season” for Günther Steiner
Günther Steiner, the team principal of Haas, is not satisfied with Mick Schumacher's start to the season. The German has yet to score a single point, and his boss is starting to lose patience.

Mick Schumacher would certainly have liked to start his second season in Formula 1 in a completely different way. The young German has still not scored a single point and is under the dominance of his teammate Kevin Magnussen. Schumacher has also experienced several accidents and offs, which have cost him dearly, as well as his Haas team.
The boss of the American team, Günther Steiner, had also warned him before the Azerbaijan Grand Prix to be careful not to crash due to the significant costs incurred in a year where the budget is capped.
If Mick Schumacher had no accident in Baku, he finished second-to-last among the remaining drivers on the track (14th out of 15 cars), far behind the car in front of him and only ahead of Nicholas Latifi, whose performances are equally worrying.
A situation that didn’t fail to make Günther Steiner react, who expects much more from his driver, but who doesn’t want to give preferential treatment to Magnussen on the track just yet.
The fact is that he hasn’t scored any points yet and he has already had two major accidents. No team would be satisfied with that, but it is completely absurd that we disadvantage Mick or put unnecessary pressure on him. I have no problem with Mick, but he needs to understand that Formula 1 is a competitive sport where everyone expects him to perform. Steiner stated this to Sky Deutschland.
At the end of his contract this year, Mick Schumacher could be replaced for the next season if his performances do not improve. The 2020 F2 champion must quickly turn things around to avoid potentially losing his place in Formula 1 permanently.
