It has never been a secret, Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher are not the best of friends and haven’t been for some time. While they seemed to be heading for a second season of coexistence at Haas, the complicated context we know about has pushed the Russian out of Formula 1.

Now, outside of the top category of motor racing, Nikita Mazepin is free to comment more openly on the actions of his former teammate. And it’s safe to say he doesn’t hold back. When asked about the start of the season for the son of the seven-time world champion, he was very critical. « Mick Schumacher? His results speak for themselves, there’s nothing more to add. » This statement will only deepen the existing rift between the two men.

Nikita Mazepin also took the opportunity to talk about his former team and his replacement within it, Kevin Magnussen. « As for Magnussen, I’m not surprised. Regarding the Haas team, I am surprised. I know the efforts we made together last year, and I didn’t expect them to go so fast this season », he declared.

The Russian also expressed optimism about resuming his career in motorsport. If we had asked Magnussen at the end of February if he would be racing again in a week, he would have certainly answered “no”. Anything is possible, Kevin has shown that he has remained in very good physical shape despite his absence in F1, and I intend to do the same.

For now, a return of Nikita Mazepin to Formula 1 seems, nonetheless, to be one of the most improbable things possible.
