Red Bull bounced back after the FIA’s intervention on “porpoising”
After the FIA's intervention to resolve the bottlenose issue, Red Bull has risen. The Austrian team does not understand the rule change during the season when not all teams are affected.

The FIA has decided to intervene to address the issue of choppiness after numerous teams and drivers complained about it in Azerbaijan. However, some were opposed to this intervention by the governing body, notably Red Bull, leading both championships and experiencing less choppiness issues.
Max Verstappen did not hide his disappointment after the FIA’s announcement. The Dutchman hinted that the international federation had succumbed to Mercedes’ repeated pleas.
« I think it’s a bit disappointing that there is once again a mid-season rule change. It’s not even about affecting us more or less than the other teams, but it’s not right for one team to complain a lot and suddenly they change the rules around them, said Verstappen to RACER.
“If you cannot design the car properly for it, it is your fault, not the fault of the rules. To me, it’s a bit of a shame,” concluded the reigning champion.
The idea is the same for Helmut Marko, special advisor to Red Bull, just without the political correctness.
“It’s completely absurd! Just because a team can’t cope with the changes, you change the regulation,” said Helmut Marko in an interview with Kleine Zeitung. “You can simply raise the car higher, and that’s it.”
Thanks to an RB18 that is much less prone to bouncing than the Ferrari and Mercedes, and with a higher top speed, the Austrian team leads the constructor’s championship with an 80-point advantage over the Scuderia. In the driver’s standings, Verstappen and Perez hold the first two positions with a 34-point lead for the Dutchman over Leclerc, who is in third place.
