Sainz narrowly misses his first victory: “We were the fastest today”

The Canadian Grand Prix will not mean a first victory for Carlos Sainz, he finishes behind Max Verstappen in 2nd place, and ahead of Lewis Hamilton on the podium.
I was giving my all to go fast, with brakes all over, with the battery, I tried everything and we just lacked a bit of rhythm to catch up, we were the fastest today. I am happy with my race, with the way I put pressure on with the right timing of pit stops. We were very close to winning and we will continue to give everything in the upcoming races.
Sainz finishes on the podium once again this season, and for the first time, he surpasses his teammate Charles Leclerc.
