Verstappen intends to be cautious for the championship
Once again victorious this season, and now with a substantial lead over the competition, Max Verstappen is the top contender for the title, but the Dutchman remains cautious.

Red Bull dominates this first part of the season, chaining 6 victories after their early season retirements. Despite Sergio Perez’s gearbox issue, Max Verstappen did not falter and secured a resounding victory.
He now has a 49-point lead over Leclerc and 46 points ahead of Perez. Despite this considerable advantage, the Dutchman remains cautious about his chances of winning a second consecutive World Championship title: “The championship is still long and I know there are still many races to go, but I also know that everything can change in no time.”
We can certainly think of Max Verstappen’s 32-point lead over Hamilton in 2021 before Silverstone, where a crash in England and the chaos in Hungary significantly reduced this gap, or the 46-point lead of Leclerc at the beginning of the season.
Verstappen remains very cautious: « After the 3rd race, I was 46 points behind, so we just have to stay very calm, we have to be focused, we also have to improve because we were not the fastest today.
Formula 1 is heading to Silverstone in two weeks, where both Max and Charles are seeking redemption after a challenging 2021 season for both of them.
