Leclerc has already lost the title according to Ecclestone
With the points gap separating Max Verstappen from Charles Leclerc in the drivers' standings, former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone no longer believes in a title for the Monegasque at the end of the year.

While he had a perfect start to the season and had a lead of up to 46 points over his main rival in the championship, Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc now finds himself in the completely opposite situation. It is now the Monegasque who has a 49-point deficit to the Dutchman.
While Leclerc said he is motivated by this gap and obviously still believes in his first championship win at the end of the year, for former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, the story is very different.
The errors are still accumulating, first judges Ecclestone. The reliability we see often recalls the past and the drivers themselves are not always confident on the track. This means that Max is having an easy time in the Red Bull with already six victories.
The 91-year-old Briton is clear: he no longer believes in a Ferrari title or Charles Leclerc at the end of the season. Like many people, I had hope that Ferrari would regain success after more than 14 years. Unfortunately, I must say that anyone who continues to bet on Ferrari or Leclerc will not win anything.
Even though he is almost two victories behind in terms of points in the drivers’ championship, the early season situation has clearly shown that anything is still possible. The Scuderia itself trails behind Red Bull by 76 points in the constructors’ championship.
