Mercedes confirms planned improvements for Silverstone
The technical director of Mercedes, Mark Elliott, confirmed improvements on the W13 for the British Grand Prix.

Mercedes’ performances are not up to par, but the W13 has shown progress since the beginning of the season, with a new podium in Canada. The German team wishes to continue in this positive momentum and plans to bring improvements to their race car for the upcoming Grand Prix at Silverstone.
During the post-race debrief, Mark Eliott spoke and explained, “We will bring new parts to Silverstone, we will try to make the car go forward, and try to extract more performance from the car we have, as well as from the package we have and the parts we will bring.”
The technical director of Mercedes remains nonetheless realistic about the current performance of their race car. « However, I believe that at the same time we need to be honest with ourselves, and admit that for now we are just slightly behind the others. And in a fair race, I think it will be difficult. »
The Silverstone Grand Prix marks the arrival of improvements for many teams, which will reshuffle the cards for a few races before the mid-season.
