At the dawn of the British Grand Prix, Pirelli unveils and explains its tire choices.

Silverstone is known for being a demanding circuit on tires. On numerous occasions, tires have been a source of chaos on the track. On this occasion, Pirelli decides to bring its hardest compounds this weekend: the C1, C2, and C3.
The circuit is among the most demanding tracks on the calendar. With sequences of high-speed corners and intense braking, the new 18-inch tires will be heavily tested.

The new aerodynamic regulation is designed to allow drivers to maintain a closer distance and thus increase overtaking opportunities, as we saw in Canada, explains Mario Isola, Pirelli’s director, on the eve of the British Grand Prix.
Additionally, the new tires are designed to withstand less overheating and provide greater stability and maneuverability within a wider usage range. This weekend, on one of the most demanding circuits of the season for tires, all these aspects will be put to the test.
In 2020, Lewis Hamilton had won the Grand Prix on this track with three wheels, creating a lasting and memorable image.
