Bottas blames reliability issues at Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo manages to achieve good results, but is too often plagued by reliability issues.

Alfa Romeo has scored 47 points since the beginning of the season, which is 3 times more than last year throughout the season. The Italian team has come a long way, but still faces a major problem. In the first 10 races of the season, Alfa Romeo has suffered 6 retirements, most of them due to mechanical issues. Reliability is hurting this team which is aiming for 4th place in the constructors’ championship.
Bottas spoke out after his retirement in Great Britain and explained: “We had a lot of opportunities after the restart, but unfortunately we had some sort of issue with the gearbox, so I had to eventually stop to limit the damage. It’s a shame because we had a good pace and could have scored big points.”
“It’s certain that it’s the priority for us – It seems that we have some concerns, so we really need to take care of it because the pace of the race was good and I was making good progress,” concluded Bottas about his weekend.
The F1 is heading to Austria for a second race weekend in two weeks. The Austrian Grand Prix has often proven to be tough on the mechanics, so Alfa Romeo must solve its reliability issues to stay in the race.
