A new rainy weekend awaits the F1 in Austria
After experiencing rainy conditions during the last two race weekends, the F1 cars are once again expected to have to fit wet tires on the Red Bull Ring.

Since the beginning of the 2022 season, the weather has not spared Formula 1. Whether it’s at Imola, Monaco, Montreal, or Silverstone, drivers have had to face precarious track conditions in qualifying or in the race. For the Austrian Grand Prix taking place this weekend at the Red Bull Ring, the scenario is expected to repeat itself.
According to The Weather Channel, Friday and Sunday are the days with the most chances of rain, while Saturday should remain dry.
Friday, the day of the first free practice session and qualifications, the chances of rain are at 74% with temperatures peaking around 20 degrees. Like in Imola last April, the drivers will have no choice but to drive in the morning to prepare for the afternoon qualifications, as required by the Weekend Sprint format.
This one should take place on dry ground on Saturday under a partially cloudy sky and temperatures around 23 degrees. The next day for the race, the sky should darken again as the chances of rain will increase to 76% with temperatures not exceeding 20 degrees.
