Horner is worried about the top speed of the Ferraris
Ferrari has achieved a dominant victory over Red Bull. The director of the Austrian team is questioning the power of the Prancing Horse.

Ferrari has finally regained the taste of victory in Austria during a challenging Grand Prix despite Ferrari’s advantage. The Scuderia dominated the race strategy and managed to consistently catch up with Verstappen. However, Carlos Sainz’s retirement and Charles Leclerc’s accelerator issues have raised concerns within the Italian team.
However, Christian Horner only remembers one thing: Ferrari defeated his team on their own turf. The top speed of the Ferrari, which was the biggest weakness of the F1-75, seems to have significantly increased and is getting closer to that of Red Bull.
I think they clearly got closer in terms of top speed. It will be very interesting to see how the situation evolves in the next races.
Horner also indicates that Ferrari’s reliability issues are far from being Red Bull’s priority: « We are not focusing on that at the moment. It is a problem that we cannot do anything about. We need to concentrate on ourselves to extract the maximum performance from our car ».
Despite the rivalry between the two teams, Christian Horner acknowledges Ferrari’s strong performance: “They had a very good car, they should have finished 1st and 2nd. For us, the weekend was going well until the 12th lap. Tire degradation was a blow to us.”
Leclerc’s victory sees him overtake Perez in the championship and come back to within 40 points of Verstappen.
