Kevin Magnussen remains at Haas in 2023
Kevin Magnussen will be behind the wheel of Haas in 2023 and for several seasons. These are the statements made by Günther Steiner, a few days before the French Grand Prix.

While Mick Schumacher is just starting to build up a positive momentum, his teammate Kevin Magnussen is certain to stay in F1 in the medium term.
Günther Steiner, the team principal of the American team, sees it as a logical continuation, given the performances of the Danish driver since the beginning of the season. We certainly had options for his seat, but there is no one better than Kevin at the moment, declares the team boss.
The Italian mentioned a multi-year contract, without specifying exactly how long Magnussen would stay with the team. His performances are surprising on more than one level, especially thanks to his quick adaptation to the new F1 cars and his superb results.
What about Schumacher?
On the other side of the garage, Mick Schumacher was feared to have a point-less season. He eventually unlocked his scorecard in England (8th) and even more so in Austria (6th).
The young German, however, has one element that weighs in his favor: that of learning alongside the more experienced Magnussen, instead of a messy Mazepin. « It’s truly a chance for Mick to have Kevin as a teammate », states Günther Steiner. As for a possible extension for No. 47 «, we will wait for the next two weeks to decide. »
