Vettel will turn back time at Le Castellet
For Aston Martin's 100th anniversary in competition, Sebastian Vettel will take the wheel of a centenary machine: the 1922 TT1.

Vettel definitely loves to vary his pleasures! After the comical scooter ride and the outing in the 1992 Williams FW14B, the four-time world champion is going to take it a step further in history.
Aston Martin was founded in 1913 and started its first competitions in 1922, notably at the Grand Prix de France, which was held in Strasbourg at that time. The TT1, which will be driven by Sebastian Vettel, was previously driven by the British Clive Gallop and the Polish Louis Zborowski.
« I am a huge enthusiast of sports history,” enthuses Vettel. « It’s going to be a very special moment to drive one of Aston Martin’s pioneers in competition.
This car made its appearance at the Goodwood Festival in June. Spectators will be delighted to hear a 4-cylinder, 16-valve engine with 35 horsepower. With a consumption of almost 8 liters per 100 kilometers, it’s safe to say that times have certainly changed!
