Alpine ahead of McLaren, but positive news for Norris
McLaren lost the 4th place in the constructors' championship to Alpine, in France. But Lando Norris sees things from a positive perspective after a well-executed weekend.

The pace of the Alpine is improving from race to race, since the beginning of the season. With the 6th and 8th positions, the French team has allowed the French team to grab the 4th place in the constructors’ championship.
Lando Norris secured 7th place, after battling against the French cars and a faster Fernando Alonso. The British driver was able to take advantage of an upgraded McLaren to bring it to a higher level of performance. His qualifying lap was very, very strong, as evidenced by his 5th place on the grid.
The modifications, devoted to the floor, pleased the N°4. « There are plenty of positive things and it helped the car in its performance and to go in the right direction. »
Unstoppable Alonso.
Although starting 5th on the grid, Lando Norris was never able to match the blistering pace of Fernando Alonso, who passed him right from the start.
Trying to keep up with Fernando, I tried to push like crazy to catch up with him. But I had to preserve my tires, while I could sense that he was managing.
The French weekend of McLaren is still good, as Norris finished 7th. Daniel Ricciardo, on the other hand, allowed the English team to achieve a double points finish (9th). We’ll have to see what the developments will bring in Budapest.
