Guanyu Zhou praises the solidarity among the drivers
The Chinese rookie of Alfa Romeo, Gunayu Zhou, said he was impressed by the solidarity that exists among the drivers, especially when dealing with major issues like what happened in Jeddah.

If rivalry on the track can reach its peak, even between teammates, the atmosphere is much more peaceful between the drivers once the helmet is off. This is highlighted by Guanyu Zhou, who, after his first few months in the premier category, said he was “impressed” by the solidarity that reigns among the drivers.
The Chinese driver admitted that it was “nice to see” the paddock agreeing on essential issues such as the holding of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after missile shots near the circuit. Zhou was also touched by the sympathy he received after his impressive accident at Silverstone, stating that it “means a lot” to him.
« It was great, first from Formula 1 and also from the drivers here in the paddock who asked me if I was okay. That means a lot. Things like that, no one wants to see them, but I came out of it and I am super happy and satisfied with the safety developments so far. The halo is the most important thing that saved me. » Rewinds the Chinese.
Are drivers more united after Jeddah?
The events in Jeddah seem to have strengthened the cohesion among the drivers and strengthened their ability to unite and speak with one voice in front of decision-makers.
« I feel very good, Formula 1 is a big group and a family. I think all the drivers are truly supportive. » sends greetings to the Alfa Romeo driver. « In the face of things like Saudi Arabia, we try to stay together as a group, we try to give the best future to the development of Formula 1, which for me as a rookie is very surprising and pleasant to see. »
« Because in recent years, when watching them, we saw many drivers fighting against each other and never speaking to each other. That’s how things are changing, he continues. « There are always people who don’t talk to each other, but overall, we form a large group and always try to convey the same message to others, he adds.
Guanyu Zhou will have to continue performing on the track to keep his place in his new family, Formula 1, as his seat is still threatened by the Frenchman Théo Pourchaire.
