Gasly transferred for 33 million dollars?
After a break full of surprises regarding the departures and arrivals of drivers, new rumors are circulating about Gasly's future, which could potentially negotiate a departure from the Red Bull galaxy.

The championship resumed this weekend with the Belgian Grand Prix, but that doesn’t prevent the driver’s dance from continuing. This time, it’s Gasly who is targeted by Alpine to replace Fernando Alonso, who left for Aston Martin for the 2023 season.
While the future of Oscar Piastri at Alpine remains uncertain, the French driver could join Ocon to form a 100% French team. Despite the fact that the Alpine driver would prefer to have Schumacher by his side, Ocon does not rule out the arrival of his fellow countryman.
I told the boss that my preference would go to Mick Schumacher. But if he can’t find a solution, I would be very happy to team up with him.
(O) “It’s going well, we have respect for each other, I think that’s what’s important,” declared Ocon about the potential arrival of Gasly by his side.
Under contract until 2023 with Red Bull and having spent 5 years between Red Bull and AlphaTauri, the Frenchman could find a new challenge by moving to a new team. The Red Bull board would be willing to let the French driver leave, but under certain conditions. So far, Helmut Marko had stated that no exit clause was possible for Gasly, as he is contractually tied to the team for the 2023 season.
The Red Bull team would indeed have requested compensation of 33 million euros if any of the teams wish to secure the services of the French driver. This is what Slater hinted at on Sky Sport, the official F1 channel in England.
I think I understand that if Alpine is willing to pay fees for him, he would be allowed to join them. Therefore, Alpine will wait to see what kind of compensation.
The decisions regarding Gasly’s future could intervene very soon. But for that, the Piastri case and everything happening around McLaren and Alpine needs to be resolved. It must be said that he is a bit stuck by the two drivers racing for Red Bull, namely Verstappen and Perez, who are having a great season.
« For us, it is evident that Pierre is still a driver contracted by Red Bull Racing until the end of next season. But of course, we have a contract with Checo [Perez] for the next two years and Max is on a long-term contract. » stated Christian Horner on the subject.
« We have to consider all possibilities. Of course, as long as they haven’t resolved what’s going on with contract recognition, everything else is just pure speculation.
»
The French driver has not yet spoken on this matter and prefers to focus on the ongoing season.
For the moment, I don’t really feel like making too many comments because I haven’t seen anything yet. […] The most important thing is just to perform with the car I have, and then we’ll see the rest.
