Disregard of curfew by McLaren at Zandvoort
The FIA has published a document stating that McLaren personnel did not respect the curfew.

After a catastrophic weekend at Spa-Francorchamps where the British team failed to score any points, it was therefore necessary to work even harder on the race car to catch up to Alpine. McLaren now trails the French team by 20 points.
The FIA has released a document stating that this was only the second of the six permitted infractions for the season.
Yesterday evening, the staff of the McLaren F1 Team, which is involved in the operation of the car, was present within the circuit premises during a fourteen-hour period that started at 6:30 PM on September 1st, eighteen hours before the scheduled start time of the first free practice session, and ended at 8:30 AM on September 2nd. This was the second of the six individual exceptions allowed for the McLaren F1 team during the 2022 Formula 1 Championship season, therefore no action should be taken.
The work done on the race cars seems to have paid off. Indeed, McLaren had a relatively convincing first free practice session by finishing in fourth and fifth place, ahead of the two Alpines with a quite comfortable lead. However, caution is still advised as it is only the first session of the weekend.
