New parts for Hamilton and Perez
Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez have made some changes to their car before the first free practice session in Zandvoort.

While Max Verstappen was forced to leave the first free practice session early due to a gearbox issue, Lewis Hamilton had decided to use a new one approaching the Dutch Grand Prix. It was damaged after his retirement at Spa-Francorchamps, following contact with Fernando Alonso, which had damaged several parts on his car.

This is the third gearbox used this season for the British driver.
Sergio Perez has installed a new battery on his race car, and will also not incur any penalties.
The energy reservoir used by Sergio Perez is one of the two new authorized energy reservoirs for the 2022 Championship season, and this is in accordance with article 28.2 of the Formula 1 Sporting Regulations 2022.
This is the second tank used by Sergio Perez, the next piece of this kind he will use will incur a grid penalty.
