F1: Pourchaire wants to believe
After a quite catastrophic Dutch Grand Prix for him, Pourchaire still hopes to take off in Formula 1 alongside Gasly and Ocon next year.

Théo Pourchaire is having a good season in F2. He is currently in 2nd place with a decent lead over his pursuer, despite a failed meeting in Zandvoort. He still aims to win the title this year, although it seems challenging.
With a few races left, the future of the French driver is still uncertain. He is waiting for an opportunity to be able to compete in F1 next year and join the other two French drivers who are already active.
But the situation seems difficult for the young pilot. No team seems to be moving for him. Access to Formula 1 for Formula 2 drivers appears to be complicated this year. They will probably have to settle for a reserve seat before being able to claim a position in the next seasons.
The driver duos for next year are almost set. Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes will keep their teams intact. But with Alonso’s departure to Aston Martin and Piastri’s arrival at McLaren, everything has been shaken up. So, there are still a few spots to fill in the paddock.
Pourchaire wants to believe in it and will give everything to achieve it after two seasons in F2.
« I give my best, there are many uncertainties that can come into play. We’ll see. But we’re not that far off, even if the competition is tough. As for me, I’m not at the top in terms of qualifications, but I know that in the race I’m a bit better than my competitors. I think it’s doable.
