Rosberg criticizes Alpine for Piastri
The former German driver didn't hesitate to criticize Alpine for their handling of the Piastri case. He believes that the French team mismanaged his situation by investing a lot in him without offering him a good contract.
After several weeks of negotiations and appearances before the authorities, Piastri committed to McLaren for the 2023 season, at the expense of Alpine. A case that has long animated the truce and sparked reactions from many people.
Nico Rosberg is the latest to have spoken out on this matter. He denounces poorly managed work and file by Alpine.
Alpine did a bad job. Truly incredible for a high-level team to manage it so poorly.
The fact that Alpine has invested several million on Piastri but did not offer him a contract worthy of that name bothers the German.
The former driver thinks that Piastri made the right choice. He will have a good position at McLaren and will be on the grid in 2023.

Rosberg still thinks it will be difficult for Piastri to keep up with Norris, whom he considers a “world-class” driver. The British driver is having a good season, currently in 7th position with 82 points.
For the former world champion, Piastri will have a hard time outperforming Ricciardo next season. Ricciardo is currently 13th with 19 points and has won a Grand Prix in 2021.
The 2023 season will be a promising season for Piastri, who will debut in F1 and will try to make his mark in the World Championship.
