As good news never comes alone, he will have the opportunity to dive into the big pool during Free Practice 1 in Abu Dhabi. He will also take part in the young drivers’ tests in November on the same circuit.
For next year, he will undertake an extensive testing program behind the wheel of the 2021 AMR21 car.
Here are his first statements. Becoming a member of the Aston Martin driver development program is a fantastic opportunity for me after an extremely successful 2022 season.
Winning in Formula 2 has long been considered the best possible springboard to a career in Formula 1.
For me, 2023 will be a learning curve. I will be working with the team, but my main goal is to learn and develop myself as a pilot.
I hope this will give me the opportunity to race in Formula 1 in the future.
