As Sebastian Vettel’s career comes to an end, the driver has decided to participate in the next “Race of Champions” scheduled for January 2023. The driver has already won it in 2015 and hopes to repeat the feat.

The “Race of Champions” is a race that brings together great champions from several disciplines in motorsport. Rally drivers, Formula 1 drivers, and endurance drivers compete against each other. The race is conducted in pairs who launch on a circuit, and the one who sets the best time for one lap wins. The current title holder is the Frenchman Sébastien Loeb.

A second discipline also exists. This is the nations’ cup, which sees teams of two drivers from the same country compete against each other. Sebastian Vettel won this title 6 times alongside Michael Schumacher between 2007 and 2012.

The next edition will take place in Sweden on a snowy track. It will be a quite unusual race that will award the champion of champions.

The Formula 1 world champion believes it’s a good opportunity to participate in this race. As a young retiree, he will be able to continue to ride on a track, where he is so comfortable.

I can’t think of a better place than the Race of Champions to rediscover the joys of driving after my retirement from Formula 1. It’s a special and incredibly fun event that always makes me want to come back.

Many renowned drivers will be present such as Sébastien Loeb, Mika Hakkinen, Johan Kristoffersson, who is a world champion in rallycross, and Jamie Chadwick, who is the two-time reigning champion of the women’s series.
