OFFICIAL: The F1 2023 calendar unveiled!
The 2023 calendar has finally been unveiled. It features 24 Grand Prix, which is a record for the sport. The drivers will start the season on March 5th in Bahrain and finish on November 26th in Abu Dhabi.

The official calendar was unveiled and validated by the FIA this Tuesday. The drivers will participate in 24 races for this edition, a record.
Like for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, the championship will start in Bahrain and end in Abu Dhabi. It will take place from March 5th to November 26th for a duration of 9 months.
The African continent is still absent. The last Formula 1 event in Africa took place in the 1993 season, in South Africa.
In this calendar, we can note the presence of the new Las Vegas circuit, where the Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, November 18th at night. It will then be the 23rd circuit of the season before closing with the Abu Dhabi circuit on November 28th.
Another specificity is the presence of the Chinese Grand Prix, which is making its grand return after 3 years of absence in the championship. It will take place on the Shanghai circuit on April 16th and will be the 4th Grand Prix of the season.
Also worth noting is the presence of numerous legendary circuits such as Monaco, Monza, Zandvoort, Spa, Silverstone, and Imola.
The calendar was set up taking into account other competitions such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Therefore, no Grand Prix will be held during the race taking place on the weekend of June 10th and 11th.
The President of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, wanted to comment on the calendar chosen for the 2023 season.
The presence of 24 races on the 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship calendar is further evidence of the sport’s growth and appeal on a global scale.
The addition of new sites and the maintenance of traditional events highlight the FIA’s sound management of sports.
I am delighted that we can bring the new era of Formula 1, created by the 2022 FIA regulations, to a wider fan base in 2023. As part of the F1 2023 calendar, the members of the WMSC also took into account the prestigious schedule of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
