Carlos Sainz believes that Ferrari needs to learn from Red Bull in order to triumph in 2023

Despite his victory at Silverstone and six podium finishes, he declares that he is not fully satisfied with his season: « It has been a bit of a roller coaster ride because there were some complicated moments. It was difficult to find a rhythm and a consistent series of results throughout the season, there were reliability issues and it’s that consistency that can enable you to fight for a title. That’s where we need to improve, and I would like to start working on that aspect, the Spanish driver stated in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.

The one who has been in Formula 1 for eight years already believes that Ferrari has the potential to compete for the world title next year, but there will be many areas to improve, notably the reliability and consistency of the car. But we must keep in mind that this year, we fought against a team like Red Bull who does things perfectly. We must learn and be the ones who will do it next year, says Carlos Sainz.

Carlos Sainz hopes for a calmer end to the season.

The pilot, however, remains focused on the ongoing championship and the upcoming race in Singapore. « It will be very physically demanding, as it always has been with the humidity and heat. It is the most difficult race of the championship and that’s why I am going to take advantage of this week to train in high temperatures and acclimate myself. I think it’s a circuit that can suit the car and give us a good chance of chasing a victory, which would be great before the end of the season. »

Carlos Sainz hopes that the last six races of the year will finally be calmer, that fewer things will happen to us, and that we can find a rhythm and momentum for next year, which will be a new opportunity.
