McLaren will sport a special livery in Singapore!
McLaren will sport a new livery for the Singapore and Japan Grand Prix.

For the first time since 2019, Formula 1 returns to the urban circuit of Singapore. A circuit that had been set aside during the COVID-19 pandemic. For the comeback of this legendary night race, McLaren has decided to sport a special livery. As part of their partnership with the OKX brand, a cryptocurrency company, the MCL36 will have neon pink accents on its bodywork instead of the usual blue. These pink accents can be found on the front wing of the car, near the sidepods, the engine cover, and finally on the rear wing. There are also illustrations on the side of the car showing the interior of the single-seater. This livery has been called Future Mode.
This new livery will also be seen for the Japanese Grand Prix. The premier category of motor racing had not returned to the Suzuka circuit since 2019 as well. At that time, the McLaren duo was made up of Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris.
This special livery will inspire the design of T-shirts that fans can purchase on the British team’s store. The livery will also be applied to the F1 22 game starting on October 11th.
The CEO of McLaren Racing, Zak Brown, on this new livery:
We are very excited to celebrate our partnership with OKX through this vibrant and original livery that we will be sporting for the upcoming races in Asia. McLaren and OKX share the desire to break barriers and always look towards the future. This Future Mode campaign is a great opportunity to showcase these values on the global stage. It’s incredible to be racing again in Singapore and Japan. These circuits provide a favorable environment to celebrate our shared vision.
McLaren is no stranger to special liveries. In 2018, the MCL33 sported Fernando Alonso’s colors on the engine cover for the double world champion’s last Grand Prix with the Woking-based team. 1 year later, the MCL34 showcased very fluid and artistic curves as part of its partnership with Vuse. In 2021, the MCL35M was completely repainted in Gulf’s brand colors.
