Lewis Hamilton with Mercedes “until his death”

Lewis Hamilton seems more motivated than ever. The British driver has a contract until 2023 but doesn't seem to want to stop anytime soon. He could very well continue for a few more years and strive for new titles.

After a very frustrating 2021 season and losing the championship at the last Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, one could have thought that Lewis Hamilton would be at rock bottom. But, as the 2022 season comes to an end, the driver doesn’t seem resigned to stopping.

The British could extend his contract for a few more years and the question of possible retirement is not yet relevant.

For years, we’ve had more or less retirement stories. I feel healthier than ever because I focus a lot on it. I feel fit. I love what I do, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

Lewis Hamilton dedicates his love for Mercedes, for whom he has been racing for almost 10 years now. If he continues in F1, he has no intention of changing teams and will easily surpass 10 years with the same team.

My goal has always been to be with Mercedes. I love that we have this long-standing relationship. I feel like we’re embarking on many truly positive things, not only in sports but also outside of it. I think I will always be with Mercedes until the day I die. I feel capable of running a bit longer, so I might potentially head towards that.

After his racing career, Lewis Hamilton could invest in the team and in Formula 1. In 2020, he started his project, the “Hamilton Commission,” which aims to give people from minority backgrounds the opportunity to pursue careers in motorsport. It is a project that he can further develop once he retires.
