Pierre Gasly hopes that AlphaTauri will finish ahead of Haas at the end of the season

As the season is nearing its end with 6 races remaining, Pierre Gasly has expressed his goals for the rest of the season. The driver still doesn't know if he will stay with AlphaTauri next year or if he will be transferred to Alpine.

After three weeks of rest, the drivers are back on track this weekend in Singapore. They embark on the final sprint with six races remaining for the season.

It will soon be time to assess the season for the drivers and our Frenchmen. If Esteban Ocon is doing decently by placing in the top 10 in the general standings, it’s more complicated for Pierre Gasly, with an 11th position quite far from the 10th place.

But the French team doesn’t give up and clearly has goals for the end of the year: surpass Haas in the constructor standings and earn points.

We are one point behind seventh place in the constructors’ championship, currently held by Haas, and I believe that should be our goal for the remaining six races, even though it will be very tight.

I don’t think we’ll be able to catch up with Alfa Romeo for the sixth place, they have too much of a lead, but finishing in seventh place would still be a great achievement. To do so, we’ll have to score points with both cars as often as possible, even if it won’t be easy.

The AlphaTauri driver is rather satisfied with the recent races that saw his team score points in two out of three races on European soil.

During the last triple race, we managed to score points in two out of the three races, and we must continue this more positive trend that started in Spa.

Pierre Gasly is also excited to return to Singapore after three years of absence from the track in the championship. Like many drivers, it’s one of his favorite races.

« Singapore is one of my favorite tracks. It’s a very technical track, with a lot of turns, a high rhythm, and very twisty. The last time we raced there in 2019, I finished in the points. I hope to repeat that this year!

The French driver will be eagerly awaited during this Grand Prix to bring new points to his team and hope to surpass Haas, which is his main objective.
